Hi there, I am
Photography has always had a lingering presence throughout my life. With framed posters of Ansel Adams hanging on the walls of the house I grew up in, without even knowing it, my parents instilled the art form of photography at an early age.
Unlike most artists, I have no formal training and am 100% self-taught. My passion eventually led me to establishing my own digital creative agency in New York City where I took on a lot of projects that required content creation, mainly pivoting around fashion and street culture. From creating digital content to fashion lookbooks, it eventually got me comfortable in the medium and ultimately, I reached a tipping point where I felt that my work did not have real meaning or purpose.
At the beginning of 2015, I made a conscious decision to shift all my energy into art and to create meaningful work. As a consumption-conscious vegetarian, 75% of my subject matter revolves around food production and the rest of my efforts are pursued with other creative passions such as still life, fashion, street and sneaker culture.
In this modern world and with the advancements of digital photography, I firmly believe that a photographer today must bring every element of intimacy back to the art form. Through this belief, I create all my work in my home studio with a fully built digital darkroom which is equipped with a large format graphic arts printer. I am hands-on in every aspect of the production of my work, from shooting, editing to retouching, down to proofing and printing.
